An Accessible Getaway

“…Transylvania – quite so beautiful, quite so insulated from the exhausting, moronic clamor of Western Europe.” –Times of London 2008

Poiana New Vista combines unspoiled wilderness with the convenience of easy access to highways linking Romania and Western Europe. It lies 85 kilometers from the Hungarian border at Oradea, a mere half-day’s drive from Budapest (290 km) and a full day from Vienna (510 km).

Not only is Poiana New Vista a relatively short distance from Western Europe, it also lies in the path of some major infrastructure improvements by the EU that are set to start this year.

One project is a 300 million Euro upgrade to national highway E79 (view the map), which runs straight by the property. E79 is currently the best way to reach Poiana New Vista, which is located just 17 kilometers off of the highway on a country road popularly used to enter the Apuseni Nature Park.

An even more exciting improvement is the largest civil engineering project in Europe: the Autostrada Transylvania (view the map), a 415 kilometer motorway which will run from Debrecen, Hungary, straight to Brasov, passing close by Poiana New Vista. Once built, it will make the property even more accessible than it already is from Western Europe.
